Part of Liudmyla’s house was destroyed by a Russian shell. She lives here with her mother and son.   Fortunately, one part of the house survived and in the other two walls were destroyed behind which a large cozy room was hidden and now the wallpaper is torn, the door is pierced by shell fragments and the roof is half-ruined.    In the survived part of the house the heating pipes were broken, glass flew out of the windows, in places plaster fell off the walls and ceiling, exposing the wood chips.

Fundraising for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

We were contacted by Lisa Kuzmenko who painted a picture based on the Ukrainian song "Bayraktar".   The girl and her family were occupied in Lypivka Bucha district. She wanted to sell the painting and donate all the raised money for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.    The fund arranged an auction withthe condition who sends the largest one-time donation, takes the picture.    Kyiv and 1+1 TV channels were interested in the story of the girl's initiative. We managed to collect about 50 thousand UAH in 10 days.    The painting went to Sweden and will hang in the office of the Ukrainian community in the city of Gothenburg.   Lisa continues to draw and paint sleeves, which she also plans to sell and donate to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Purchase of building materials

Russian invaders destroyed this man's house. He and his elderly father currently live in the summer kitchen which is located next to the destroyed household.   The room was completely devoid of living conditions.   OSBs were provided by the Makariv Village Council and within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation the Foundation purchased necessary building materials for the insulation and repair of the summer kitchen.   The man is engaged in the repair and conversion of the premises on his own.

Collection of gadgets for distance learning

Many children in the community don't have the opportunity to study remotely.   Since the foundation cooperates with the Makariv Village Council we have a list of children who don't have gadgets to study online.   Thanks to the initiative of the foundation, several families have already been provided with the necessary equipment for obtaining quality education.   One of them was Ilya. The boy comes from the city of Izyum. Fate took them with their mother and sister to the Makariv, while their father remained in their homeland. Now they live in a modular town. The boy went to the 2nd grade and had nothing for studying.

Makariv territorial community suffered significant destruction. In addition to destroyed houses, there are those in which only windows and doors were damaged.   As the cold season approaches, the need to replace windows for comfortable living conditions is becoming increasingly acute.   The fund is actively engaged in window replacement and has already installed windows for more than 5 households.
